Choose my instruction rather than silver, and knowledge rather than pure gold. For wisdom is far more valuable than rubies. Nothing you desire can compare with it.
(Proverbs 8:10, 11)
I tell people my hobby is accumulating wisdom.
I can use wisdom to make me money. Or I can use money to open greater opportunities to accumulate wisdom. I can purchase good books, attend high quality conferences, and surround myself with excellent mentors.
I can use people to help me make money. Or I can use money to make life better for people.
Money is the most valuable treasure on earth. The more I have, the more I can purchase. Wisdom and people are heaven’s most valuable treasures. Weighed in the balance, I can only use one to purchase the other.
When I look at it that way, I’m going to use money to get me more wisdom and make life better for the people I love.
