“May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.”
1 Thessalonians 5:28
Grace is a healthy freedom that turns life into a song, a poem, an art, and a dance. Even the sad and painful experiences can be music, dance, and poetry.
Perfectionism and grace/excellence can’t exist in the same space. Perfectionism always demands more than we can give. Perfectionism kills—nothing can grow under the laws of perfectionism—everything dies under its heavy-handed, hard-hearted, faultfinding demands.
But everything thrives and grows in the soft, broken soil of grace.
Jesus has opened heaven, pouring out on us the warm, healing stream of grace. Don’t harden yourself into perfectionism. Let your inner shell break open so you come out and dance in the sunshine and rain with abandonment.
God wants us to receive his grace, fresh and new every morning. Grace is the best gift we can receive from God and then share with each other.
Dance together today.
