A Common Purpose

A common Purpose

You must get along with each other… cultivating a life in common. I ask you, has the Messiah been chopped up in little pieces so we can each have a relic of our own?

(I Corinthians 1:10,13)

It’s easy to dig our heels into our own point of view and then argue from there. When we step back and look at our common purpose, things fall into perspective. Strife disappears. We become unified.

Glorifying Jesus is our common purpose.

Jesus isn’t a bunch of pieces with conflicting purposes. Since Jesus is our common purpose, then we focus on what he wants us to accomplish, and things are so much simpler. This principal applies in every area of life.

Lord, keep my eyes on the Big Goal.
