Think about what we have in Christ: the encouragement he has brought us, the comfort of his love, our sharing in his Spirit, and the mercy and kindness he has shown us.
Sometimes it seems God sets a lot of stipulations of what he expects from us. But honestly, I think he just wants a simple, straightforward, no-nonsense, genuine relationship. No drama, no lies.
To find wisdom, you need to get real quiet. You need to concentrate so you can distinguish wisdom’s voice from all the others. You need to study wisdom for a long, long time to master this. You need to surround yourself with wise people with wisdom-tuned ears.
Just like when someone gets angry at someone else who cuts them off in traffic. If the other person offers a friendly smile and a wave, that usually resets the tone.
I concluded that although the ocean is filled with the water that appears unstable to our finite minds,—and it’s so vast—yet there is no such thing as a random wave. Each wave is precisely choreographed and timed by the God who created creation.

What’s controlling my mind when I get angry, jealous, afraid, worried or anxious? I can tell you, and it’s not a peaceful feeling when that happens.
If I fixate my focus on God during tough times, he can make me a better person.
Good planning and getting ready is our job, but then look to God for the victory.
