Sometimes I want life to magically stand still. But life is always changing. I’m fighting reality when I resist transition. No amount of digging my heels in will bring me rest. I can’t stop life, and really, I don’t want to. But I can bring my strengths into reality and trust God for the outcome.
Getting wisdom is the wisest thing you can do. (Proverbs 4:7)
What’s my plan? Is it established inside God’s plan? If God was to redline (mark through and correct) my plans, what would he change or redesign? Have I captured the plans God has for me??
We must always have open minds and realize we have a lot to learn all the time. But we must be ready and accept change as part of this; what worked this week might not work next week.
Every Christian gets tested to see what they are made of and to burn away anything that isn’t pure. It happens to famous godly people as well as to nobodies.
Success has no shortcuts. I heard a good saying this week “you can speed to your next ticket”. Taking shortcuts in life usually will have negative consequences. It’s especially tempting when we’re under a lot of stress—we tend to take shortcuts for instant gratification.
But there will be glory and honor and peace from God for all who do good…
Give soft answers from a soft heart. Not hard answers. We give hard answers when we swell our chests and claim to have THE answer. Hard answers power one person above the others and shut the others down.
