You Don’t Always Have to Know

Trust in the LORD with all your heart;
do not depend on your own understanding.
Proverbs 3:5

Trust—a word that can lose its luster in our culture. But at its core, trust is the foundation of faith. It’s the ability to set aside our own understanding, and believe that God has a better plan for our lives.

Sometimes we ask God, “Why did this happen?”

Perhaps God is whispering, “You don’t need to know. Trust me. Walk by faith, not by sight.”

Instead of being haunted by “why?”, believe God is working through every circumstance to make us more like him. He always is faithful to redeem everything to work together for our good. It’s his promise.

Lord, when the storms of life come, remind me that you are good.
