Watch Your Tongue

watch Your Tongue

Answer a fool according to his folly, or he will be wise in his own eyes.
(Proverbs 26:5)

Fools only hear what they want to hear. They don’t want to receive wisdom and truth from others. They wear blinders, which keeps them from reality. Don’t join fools in their game by becoming offended or giving in to an argument.

Sometimes, instead of becoming fuel for the fool’s fire, it’s better to say or do nothing. At the end of the day, choose the high road and always only speak truth instead of your opinion.

Lord, help me keep my tongue and give me wisdom to know what to say and when. Show me when I’m not listening to wisdom and truth.
