Don’t wear yourself out trying to get rich. Be wise enough to know when to quit. In the blink of an eye wealth disappears, for it will sprout wings and fly away like an eagle.
(Proverbs 23:4, 5)
Who can prevent the mighty eagle from flying? She’s here for a few moments—admire her strength and beauty. But an eagle isn’t an eagle until she flies.
The eagle must fly.
Money too must fly. I may have bags full of it. But stuff happens and that money will fly away; a little or a lot at a time.
Through the rise and fall of economies and nations, money evaporates and flies away. Know when enough is enough. Create a good life for yourself and others.
In the end, you won’t remember the money. Instead, you’ll remember the good you accomplished for the world around you. And you’ll be happy with the person you’ve become.
