Suffering For Good Beats the Punishment For Doing Bad

It’s better to suffer for doing good, if that’s what God wants, than to be punished for doing bad.
(1 Peter 3:17)

The punishment later will far outweigh the present reward for doing evil. When someone is cheating or doing something unethical it eventually backfires on them. In the end they’re much worse off than they would have been if they hadn’t taken the unethical path.

If you make the most ethical or the most Christ-like choice, its ends much better

Lord, help me to consistently choose ethical, Christ-like choices, even when it’s tempting to get ahead by doing the wrong thing.
