Since Jesus Grew, So Can I

Jesus grew in wisdom and in stature
and in favor with God and all the people.
Luke 2:52

New thought: Jesus, the creator of wisdom, grew in wisdom. I can follow his example. Once I have wisdom, I can continue growing in it.

Like a tree.

An evil person grows into an evil tree. A fool grows into a fool tree. A proud person grows into a proud tree. Every tree continues growing until it’s cut down.

Deep down, we all want to be favored. The path to favor with God and man is to gain wisdom. That’s the formula, the secret.

If we want to become “America’s Favorite Cabinet Shop,” or anyone’s favorite anything, we must first become deep and strong in wisdom.

  • Listen to God’s voice.
  • Listen to the voice of the customer.
  • Listen to the voice of our employees.
  • Listen to the voice of our critics.

If you want to become a favored parent or grandparent:

  • Listen to God’s voice.
  • Listen to the hearts of your children and grandchildren.
  • Learn from others who are succeeding.

Grow in wisdom, a little or a lot, but as fast as you can. Health begets health. Through living in the power of Jesus’ love and the resurrection, I can embrace greater wisdom and push through my walls.

The worst prison is to be stuck inside your own head. To become free and healthy, you must gather wisdom from outside yourself and then plant it deep inside.

From a commentary: Jesus’s physical, intellectual, moral, spiritual development was perfect. “At each stage he was perfect for that stage” (Plummer).

According to the example Jesus set, if I first pursue wisdom, I can experience perfection and favor in each stage of my life.
