But now, listen to the Lord who created you.
the one who formed you says,
“Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you.
I have called you by name; you are mine.
Rejection can take bites out of a person’s core and whittle away at the very substance of who we are. It can give the devil a foothold by making us think we’re on our own. It cuts us off from the herd and makes an open target for wolves and vultures.
Because I’ve been ransomed, I belong. I belong here, I belong to someone, and they to me. We are in this together.
We’re made and designed to thrive in a together situation.
Lord, it’s pretty great to be together with you. Help me today be reflecting that in what I do, how I conduct myself and let me act like a grateful person that’s been ransomed. Thank you for claiming me as yours, among those who also are yours.
