On the day of Pentecost all the believers were meeting together in one place. Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting. Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them. And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability.
God did this. None of it was fabricated by the people attending. It wasn’t an insane manifestation or hallucination resulting from all the stress they had been under.
Yes, it was an important day.
So, what does that make today?
Today you may experience an awesome, flaming encounter with God.
Today may be a day of love, struggle, joy or sorrow.
Or a divinely appointed business opportunity.
Or just a nice relaxed day.
Not every day is The Day of Pentecost. That doesn’t make today any less of a great day.
It’s up to God what he does with today. It’s up to me to be aware and show up.
