Keep Yourself Nourished

Keep Yourself Nourished

You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless.
(Matthew 5:13)

Salt was a preservative in the Bible times. It was extremely valuable, to the point that sometimes it was even used as currency. We begin to lose the value we can give others when we don’t nourish ourselves. We cannot bring spiritual value to other people if we don’t feed ourselves from the Word and other healthy sources. Salty people are not boring to be around—they’re full of life.

We refuel our tank and maintain our saltiness by spending time feeding on God’s word and deeply connecting with godly people.

Father please fill me so I can be a blessing to others.
