“I am writing to you
who share the same precious faith we have….
May God give you more and more grace and peace
as you grow in your knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord.”
2 Peter 1:1, 2
Grace grows as we grow. And so does peace. As we mature, we find more mature ways to handle trials. And as we learn to handle trials, we give God a chance to be bigger in our minds than the trial itself. We then find greater measures of grace and peace.
It comes down to our perspective and how resilient we allow ourselves to become. Sometimes things happen that we don’t understand but just have to let go and forgive. We can’t always try to hash things out. And it really doesn’t matter. We don’t need to dig up who said what so we can settle the score with each other. That’s too hard and it opens the door to create more wounds. Life is moving too fast for that. Our time is precious. If we’re engaged with life and fully present, when misunderstandings come, we may just have to find a way to let them go and move on.
