Don’t Mock Anyone

Our true worth isn’t measured by our earthly advantages or individual circumstances. It’s measured by the God-image he has breathed into each of us.
(Phillip)

Whoever mocks poor people insults their Creator; gloating over misfortune is a punishable crime.
(Proverbs 17-5)

This verse extends well beyond poor people. Mocking anyone not as fortunate as myself, whether they are poor, in bad relationships, unhappy at the workplace—you get the picture—if you mock anyone you should be punished. We all were created as equals, God loves us all.

Lord, remind me that some are not as fortunate as I am, I do not gloat over anyone, I do not want to insult you in any way.
