God Means What He Says

“Do not add to his words,
or he will rebuke you and prove you a liar.”
Proverbs 30:6

God carefully chooses his words. Don’t twist scripture around to make it say what you want to hear, but listen to what he’s telling us. Stay with facts and truth. Don’t add your own words to make it work for you.

In your daily life, choose to always use facts and truth when dealing with challenges. “Fudging” the truth is dishonesty. Dishonest people think it’s ok to tell white lies. Soon, it doesn’t seem so wrong to tell a little bigger lie. Next it becomes a small web, which grows a little bit at a time as the conscience becomes more and more ignored.

Take his Word as it was meant to be, both when it’s hard and when it’s easy.

Help me stay on track and never change the intended outcome of your words.
